Skyhop Bus Marketing Japan, a joint venture of Myojo Bus, JTB、Keihan Bus and Hinomaru Bus, opened a new ‘Purple Line’ of the double-deck ‘Sky Hop Bus Kyoto’ for the limited period by January 31 2026.  The line connects to tourist destinations of Arashiyama, Kinkakuji Temple, Daitokuji Temple and Nijo Castle, and a new bus stop is available in Arashiyama.

Sky Hop Bus Kyoto is operated on 10 ‘Red Lines,’ 10 ‘Blue Lines’ and 5 ‘Purple Lines,’ which give tourists more opportunities to see landscapes of Kyoto City from the open top bus.’ In addition, the joint venture expects that tourist-oriented Sky Hop Bus Kyoto can be a solution to separate visitors from citizens on the local community bus route.
