Airline Satisfaction Rate: Singapore Airlines is 1st for Two Consecutive Years - AB-ROAD

In “Airline Satisfaction Rating Survey 2013” conducted by AB-ROAD Research Center, Singapore Airlines (SQ) was ranked 1st in the overall ratings. Emirates (EK) was 2nd, both airlines received 1st and 2nd place for two consecutive years.

It should also be noted that Peach Aviation (MM) which became the subject of the survey for the first time this year came in 10th, the highest among low cost carriers (LCC).

Singapore Airlines was rated the highest in 4 out of the 5 divisional rankings; “Machinery and Equipment of Aircraft”, “Customer Service by Flight Attendants”, “In-flight Refreshment Service” and “In-flight Entertainment”. Only 1st place in “Customer Service by Flight Attendants” was won by Japan Airlines.

Furthermore, some of the airlines which ranked higher than the previous year were; 3rd: Turkish Airlines (TK, 11th last year), 6th: Eva Airlines (BR, 17th last year) and 9th: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM, 19th last year). Besides Peach Aviation in 10th place, another LCC which came within 20th place was Jeju Air (7C) in 20th.

The survey was conducted on the internet during April 19th to April 23rd, 2013 directed to the 5,958 who traveled overseas in 2012. The total reply of the survey was 4,000. Airlines subject to the survey were the top 40 airlines used by overseas travelers in their last trip in 2012 according to the “AB-ROAD Overseas Travel Survey 2013”.
