Decade comparison by 2015 of Japanese travelers to Australia, New Zealand and Canada

Japanese travelers to all of Australia, New Zealand and Canada increased year on year in the calendar year of 2015, based on official statistics data released by each of the authorities. Japanese travelers to Australia increased by 4.1% to 336,000, and those to Canada also by 6.4% to 275,000. The annual growth of Japanese travelers to New Zealand was 7.6%, the highest among the three destinations with similar market trend, and the annual number reached 87,000.

The table below shows yearly changes of Japanese travelers to the three destinations in the past decade:

In December 2015 only, the growth rates were around 12% in all of Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Japanese travelers were up 12.5% to 36,000 for Australia, 12.8% to 17,000 for Canada and by 12% to 11,000 for New Zealand.
