Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) reported that the number of Japanese international travelers in April 2026 was up 8.4% year on year to 1,042,100.

Compared to April 2019 (1.67 million travelers), the number was still down 37.5%, which were larger monthly reduction rate than the previous months.
