Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) reported that the number of Japanese outbound travelers in October 2025 was up 8.3% year on year to 1,243,600. The growth rate was smaller than around 14% in the last 5 months.

Compared to October 2019 (1.66 million travelers) before COVID-19, it was still down 25.2%.
