Japanese teleworkers have been increasing amid the pandemic, as the survey says 45% telework more than once a week

The lifestyle survey, conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, finds that the ratio of Japanese teleworkers more than once a week was 43% in December 2021, when COVID-19 cases reduced nationwide, and 45% in March 2022, when Omicron variant spread rapidly.

As the ratios were higher than 30% before the pandemic, it seems to be possible for telework in a travel destination or Workcation to become normal in Japanese lifestyle.
