JR EAST a railway company of Japan, offers a new pass for international visitors to use all lines in JR EAST area

JR EAST, a railway company of Japan, will begin offering a new railway pass ‘JR EAST PASS’ for international visitors to use all lines in JR EAST area and part of private railways. The prices are 35,000 yen for five-valid days and 50,000 yen for ten-valid days. 

The area for ‘JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass (40,000 yen for six-valid days)’ in cooperation with JR Hokkaido will be extended to Tohoku and Niigata, and the area for ‘Hokuriku Arch Pass (35,000 yen for seven-valid days)’ in cooperation with JR WEST extended to Koshinetsu area. 

JR EAST will revise the prices of the exiting passes: 16,000 yen for ‘JR TOKYO Wide Pass (three-valid days),’ 5,200 yen for ’N’EX TOKYO Round Trip Ticket (14-valid days),’ 32,000 yen for ‘JR Tohoku-South Hokkaido Rail Pass (six-valid days)’ and 1,420 yen for ‘SENDAI AREA PASS.’
