Kyoto City launches a campaign to support local restaurants and lodgings, encouraging local residents to use them

Kyoto City will launch a city-initiative campaign to support local restaurants and lodgings by encouraging local residents to use them. The campaign beginning from late June for three months is to help restaurants and lodgings maintain sales and jobs and also local residents rediscover attractions in their neighborhood.

The city will provide participant restaurants and lodgings with tickets to exchange luxury items for users. Also, the city subsidizes up to 50,000 JPY a hotel or a ryokan in preparation for creating a package plan and up to 200,000 JPY a hotel or a ryokan as a financial support to special benefits for a package plan.
