MUFG Bank and Sagawa Express have launched a new empty-handed travel service ‘KYOTO Travel Satellite’ in MUFG Bank Kyoto branch so that they try to solve over-tourism issues in Kyoto City. Carrying large-sized luggage is regarded as one of the over-tourism issues especially in the public transportations. 

They propose ‘SAGAWA Hand-Free Travel’ service to international travelers who visit MUFG Bank Kyoto branch for banking services. Needless to say, a traveler can use ‘SAGAWA Hand-Free Travel’ only. 

This is just a trial to confirm feasibility for the fulls-calendar service.They will explore the creation of a new　model that will utilize their nationwide logistics infrastructure and store networks to help alleviate over-tourism and capture inbound travel demand.
