Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, launched a travel campaign on May 7 2025 to encourage Japanese people who have suffered rise in prices to travel to Sendai. The campaign scheme is that 112 accommodations in Sendai City create a stay plan each to discount 30% (up to 4,000 yen a night). 

The campaign will be available even for residents in Sendai from May 26 to July 17 2025, and up to three-straight nights are allowed. It is supposed to terminate when bookings reach the budget limit.
