Shibuya City produces a video to encourage foreigners to go beyond the Scramble Crossing

Shibuya City Tourism Association has produced a promotional video to encourage international visitors to go to other places than the well-known Scramble Crossing by delivering information on fashion, music or gastronomy. The video is run on signage along Shibuya Koen Street and at other places that attract large crowds. 

The Scramble Crossing in front of Shibuya Station, where about 300,000 people gather a day, is a popular tourist spot, as many international visitors take photos of their coming and going, however the association acknowledges an issue that many of them move to other cities after taking the photos. To retain as many international visitors as possible in Shibuya City, the video tells them a variety of stories in the city. 

A message of the cinema-like video is ‘You are the people who makes the shape of love in Shibuya.’
