The Japanese luxury resort company Hoshino Resort acquires four ANA Crown Plaza properties at about 40 billion JPY

Hoshino Resort has announced that the Japan’s leading luxury resort company will purchase four ANA Crown Plaza properties in Japan by acquiring stocks of the corporations that own and manage the properties at about 40 billion JPY. The four properties are: ANA Crown Plaza Hotel Kanazawa (249 rooms) ANA Crown Plaza Hotel Toyama (251 rooms) ANA Crown Plaza Hotel Hiroshima (409 rooms) ANA Crown Plaza Hotel Fukuoka (320 rooms)

Hoshino Resort has an idea to target leisure travelers for the ANA Crown Plaza Hotels, although those are business traveler-oriented hotels in terms of prices and locations. Based on its original market survey, Hoshino Resort has judged that the four cities do not meet leisure travelers’ needs perfectly, and seeing a high potentiality in urban tourism in Japan, the resort company said that the deal is the first action for the future business expansion in urban tourism.
