Japan's most satisfactory luxury hotel is Imperial Hotel, for two years in a row

Conducted by J.D. Power Asia Pacific, the Japan Hotel Guest Satisfaction Survey 2017 reveals that Imperial Hotel is at the top of luxury hotels with a rate of JPY 35,000 or more per night for two years in a row. Other top hotels included Royal Park in the category JPY 15,000-35,000 per night, JR Kyushu Hotel in the category JPY 9,000-15,000 JPY per night and Super Hotel for rates below JPY 9,000 per night.

In the category "JPY 35,000 or more", Imperial Hotel was ranked first for check-in/out, food & beverage, and rate. The second hotel was The Ritz-Carlton, ranked first for its rooms, facilities and services. Hyatt Regency arrived third.

The ranking is based on answers from 26,729 men and women from all Japan, at least 18 years old. The hotel categories are based on typical rate intervals provided for hotels and room types.
