Year-on-year comparison of Japanese travelers to Hawaii, Guam and Okinawa in March 2018

Based on official statistical data for March 2018, the number of Japanese travelers increased by 1.8% for Hawaii to 139,300) and by 1.1% for Okinawa to 627,100. The monthly result for Guam, however, was continuously down 14.3% to 61,100 on a year-on-year basis.

Japanese travelers to Hawaii had increased year on year every month after 3.7% reduction in January 2018. Okinawa received more Japanese travelers in all months in the last year except October 2017. Japanese travelers to Guam had reduced every month since September 2016.
