‘Japan. Free Wi-Fi’ spot information has been available in the official Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) website since April 1 this year. The new website provides foreign visitors with Wi-Fi spot locations on the map, a spot search function and how to use the service in English, Chinese (traditional and simplified) and Korean.
The information site is operated by Wi-Fi Development Promotion Conference, which was formed by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and Japan Tourism Agency. The public conference is continuously improving the free Wi-Fi environment together with private sectors and encouraging foreign visitors to use the service by making new flyers or on popular media or applications.
