Activity booking platform Klook works with Hong Kong Tourism Board for Muslim-friendly campaign

Activity booking platform Klook and Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) launched a Muslim-friendly campaign ‘Jelajah Hong Kong,’ targeting Muslim travelers from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The campaign proposes Muslim-friendly tourist spots, activities, hotels, halal foods and worships.

Klook forms partnerships with Muslim tour operator ‘CrescentRating’ and ‘HalalTrip’ to strengthen services to Muslim travelers.

Hong Kong was selected as the most Muslim-friendly destination in Halal in Travel Award 2025, and ranked third outside of Organization of Islamic Cooperation in 2025 Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI). 

According to GMTI, Muslim travelers increased by 25% year on year to 176 million worldwide in 2024. The number is expected to reach 245 million by 2030, and expenditure by them to increase to $230 billion.

Klook revealed that bookings for Hong Kong from Muslim nations increased by 43.5% in the last 12 months. They booked theme parks and attractions particularly.
