Fairmont Hotels & Resorts under an umbrella of Accor will open ‘Fairmont Niseko’ in Hokkaido in early 2028. The project is being developed in partnership with the investment firm J-Will Partners.
The resort, located in panoramic views of Mount Yotei, will have approximately 165 guest rooms and include two restaurants, a spa, wellness facilities, and a kids' club, as well as amenities offering an authentic onsen (hot spring) experience.
This will the second Fairmont brand hotel in Japan, following Tokyo. Niseko is a world-renowned ski resort, and further growth in tourism demand is anticipated due to the planned extension of the Hokkaido Shinkansen line (scheduled for 2038) and the increase in international flights at New Chitose Airport.
