JTB and Mitsubishi Electric signed a partnership agreement (MOU) for promotion of autonomous driving services in the tourism space in order to solve shortage of workforces and to activate local economy in a tourist destination. They are working together to develop autonomous driving services from dispatch to operation for resort facilities. 

Mitsubishi Electric has been conducting demonstration experiments of autonomous driving services that can be used in a variety of cases since 2021. The company aims to build a sustainable operating system by combining Mitsubishi Electric's autonomous driving solutions and related technologies with JTB's tourism DX solutions and network.
