JTB Inbound Trip (JIT), a joint venture established by JTB Group and Trip.com Group, and ThinkAR Japan signed an agreement on expansion of AI wearable solutions in the tourism and hospitality industry of Japan.

They will test AI Smart Glasses ‘AiLENS V1,’ provided by ThinkAR Japan, to support staff at hotels, tourist information offices, event venues, tour desks or transportations in communications with international guests in multi-languages. 

The "AiLENS V1" is an AI smart glass device that connects to a smartphone to display translation results and information from an AI assistant directly on the lenses. Users can check necessary information without significantly averting their gaze from the person they are interacting with or their surroundings

They aim to build a service model capable of sustained on-site operation by combining JIT’s expertise and network in the inbound tourism and accommodation sectors with ThinkAR’s AI wearable technology.

Based on the results of the test phase, a phased rollout, extending from accommodation facilities to areas such as tourist information, transportation, and events, will be considered.
