The Chugoku Bank, a local bank in Okayama Prefecture, has started to establish a business framework to develop and sell high-valued tourism experiences using local resources in the Kurashiki area in order to attract luxury international travelers to the area and at the same time to help local business operators earn more money.
The bank forms partnerships with ‘Setouchi Brand Corporation,’ a local tourism business consultancy, and ‘xperisus,’ a luxury travel developer for international visitors to Japan.
They are trying to create experience tours for history, cultures, gastronomy or industries rooted in old town Kurashiki with a goal to sell the products after 2027.
