Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) reported that the number of Japanese outbound travelers in April 2025 was up 8.2% year on year to 961,400, though the numbers exceeded 1 million in February and March.
Compared to April 2019 (1.67 million travelers) before COVID-19, it was still down 42.3%.
