Kyoto City strengthens to send messages of tourism manners to foreign visitors in the busiest autumn leaves season

Kyoto City and DMO KYOTO strengthen to send messages of tourism manners to foreign visitors in the busiest autumn leaves season.

In partnership with Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), they are notifying tourism manners tourists must keep on newsletters to travel industries or travel seminars before foreign tourists visit Kyoto.

Messages include ‘tour participants should not wait on the road for long periods of time to avoid disrupting traffic,’ ‘tour buses should not wait in no-parking areas,’ ‘tourists should refrain from taking photos without permission or blocking roads.’

The notifications are also sent to tour guides who attend foreign tourist groups through domestic tour operators.

In partnership with private sectors, tourism manner information is displayed on Seven Bank ATM that is frequently used by foreign tourists, and  tourism manners must keep are notified with a easy-to-understand word ‘TouristShip,’
