Narita Airport expects 10% more international flight passengers in this summer vacation period

Narita International Airport has forecasted that international flight passengers in this summer vacation period (August 10 to 21) will increase by 10% year on year to 1,095,500, which comprise 569,700 departures (+9.2%) and 525,800 arrivals (+10.8%).

The busiest day for departures may be August 11 with 55,500, followed by August 10 with 52,000 and August 13 with 50,000. The busiest day for arrivals may be August 15 with 47,700, followed by August 21 with 46,600 and August 16 with 46,100.

Popular destinations are Hawaii, Guam and Taiwan. By terminal, the first PTB is expected to increase departures and arrivals by 5.2% to 581,100, and the second PTB by 12.9% to 443,700. Extension of the LCC network will help the third PTB increase those by 40.3% to 70,700.
