The Nielsen Digital’s survey illustrates that the average time spending for a smart phone in Japan is 3 hours and 7 minutes a user a day in March 2018, 16 longer minutes than the last year’s survey.
The average time spending for apps on a smart phone is 2 hours 41 minutes (+17 minutes), and for browsers 29 minutes (-1 minute).
The app with the longest spending time is ‘Pokemon Go,’ followed by ‘LINE: Disney TSUM TSUM’ and ‘LINE.’ ‘Yahoo! JAPAN’ moves up from 8th last year to 6th.
The app with the biggest growth of spending time is ‘LINE’ with 26 minutes a day (+18 minutes), followed by ‘YouTube’ with 14 minutes a day (+4 minutes). Spending times for Twitter and Facebook respectively reduce by 3 minutes to 16 minutes a day and 8 minutes a day.
