VERTRA, a Japanese activity booking platform, signs MOU with London-based Big Bus Tours to look for feasibility of Hop-on Hop-off in Japan.
Big Bus Tours operates Hop-on Hop-off sightseeing bus services in over 25 cities worldwide, serving more than six million tourists annually. It currently operates in major global tourist destinations such as London, New York, Paris, Dubai, Rome, and Singapore.
Under this agreement, they will begin evaluating the market potential for Hop-on Hop-off sightseeing bus services in major Japanese cities and identifying candidate locations for expansion. They will also proceed with selecting potential local bus operator partners based on criteria such as safety, operational quality, and the ability to cooperate with local communities.
For the future, they will discuss target cities and business models, with the aim of concluding a formal agreement and launching the business.
