Lecip Holdings, an electric device provider for bus and railway, has begun dealing with tour bus ticket on the digital ticket system ‘QUICK TRIP Ticket’ for cruise passengers who join a tour in Ishigaki Island.
‘QUICK TRIP Ticket’ allows a user to purchase a bus ticket on smartphone and use it for the tour. To encourage a user to spend money after deboarding the cruise ship, the digital ticket is combined with digital coupons for local shops.
There are two types of the digital tickets: a shopping shuttle to the east side of Ishigaki Island at 500 yen and a tour from Kabira Bay to Ishigaki Yaima Village at 2,200 yen for adult or 1,500 yen for child.
This is one of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism project to improve local transportation.
