TrustYou, an analyzer of word-of-mouth and reviews, revealed the number of word-of-mouth postings by OTA in Japan in 2022.
Booking.com collected the most word-of-mouth postings with a share of 34%, followed by Google with 21%, Rakuten Travel with 12% and jalan.net with 10%. The top four were unchanged from 2022.
The share of domestic OTAs reduced to 26% in 2022 from 29% in 2021.
