Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race and Sado Toki Marathon sign a sister-race agreement

“Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race Half Marathon & Ekiden Relay” sponsored by Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) and “Sado Toki Marathon” held in Sado, Niigata signed a sister-race agreement.  The fact both races crowning the name of birds in their event titles lead to the agreement.  They will mutually publicize each event and promote the participant increase and the tourism interchange.

As part of the project, a participant from each divisions of the April 7 Sado Toki Marathon will be sent to the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race Half Marathon & Ekiden Relay scheduled to be held on Oct. 20, 2013.  In addition, signing ceremony for the sister-race agreement was held on Apr.6, the preceding day of the Sado Toki Marathon.  Also, Jon Nathan P. Deputy General Manager of Guam Visitors Bureau visited HIrohiko Izumida, governor of Niigata on Apr.5, and publicized tourism in Guam.
