Japan’s domestic travel recovery initiative ‘Go To Travel’ users reached 52.6 million by November 15 with discount amount of 300 billion JPY

Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) announced that the number of users for the Japanese government’s leading domestic travel recovery initiative ‘ Go To Travel’ reached about 52.6 million by November 15 since it started on July 22. The government's payment for discounts amounted to about 25.9 billion JPY, and  about 57.1 billion JPY were spent for local shopping coupons starting from October 1.

The average travel payment was 13,627 JPY a traveler a night, and the discounted amount was 4,770 JPY a traveler a night. For the half a month by November 15 only, about 8.25 million users increased.
