Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) reported that the number of Japanese outbound travelers in September 2025 was up 15.0% year on year to 1,394,500, continuing 15% year-on-year growths since July.
Compared to September 2019 (1.75 million travelers) before COVID-19, the result this year recovered to a 20.4% reduction.
