The Japan’s leading convenience store extends duty-free service to 1,000 stores nationwide

Seven-Eleven Japan, the Japan’s leading convenience store chain, is extending its original services for foreign travelers in Japan. One of the business expansions is to increase the duty-free service, which has begun since December last year, to about 1,000 stores nationwide by the end of July 2015.

Also, foreign languages available for about 21,000 Seven Bank ATMs nationwide will increase from four to 12 by the end of FY2015, and free Wi-Fi ‘Seven Spot’ will be provided on its ‘Japan connected-free Wi-Fi’ app for foreign travelers or twitter, Facebook or Google+ account.

Seven-Eleven Japan has an idea to promote store management of ‘close and convenient’ to foreigners toward 2020, the Tokyo Olympic year, in cooperation with Japan Tourism Agency.
