Yahoo! Search has begun offering a AI assistant function for a user to create travel routes in conversation with generative AI.
If you ask "Tell me a model sightseeing itinerary for Kyoto," the function displays a model sightseeing itinerary including photos and summaries of each tourist spot in Kyoto, travel time, and transportation options. In addition, you can customize the model itinerary to suit your needs by adding spots you want to visit, such as "I want to go to Kiyomizu-dera Temple” or "I want to try some famous sweets," and by expressing your desire to change your mode of transportation, such as "I want to change from public transportation to car travel.”
For searching tourist spots, if you ask “Tell me some recommended tourist spots in Kyoto,” for instance, the AI suggests multiple recommended spots along with photos and summaries.
If you want to know more about the suggested spots, you can tap "View details" to view more detailed information, such as opening hours and word-of mouth. Furthermore, by selecting "Including in course" displayed for each spot, you can create a model itinerary that includes the spots you want to visit.
