HIS, one of the Japanese leading travel company, formed partnership with Uber Japan to launch a new service to issue taxi voucher for group travel or corporate travel. HIS also considers integration of the service into its corporate travel management system ‘HIS BTM Portal’ in the future to provide a seamless management with air ticket and accommodation.
With the service, HIS proposes taxi transportation of participants in conferences or events to MICE organizers. It is possible to provide multi-language service and limousine service for VIP, according to HIS.
For group travel, HIS proposes Uber Taxi in time zones and route segments that cannot be covered by charted buses.
Uber Taxi is available in 25 prefectures in Japan as of June 2025, and is expected to available in all 47 prefectures by 2027.
