
NAVITIME JAPAN, a Japanese navigation app provider, revealed where foreign visitors to Osaka Kansai EXPO visited in the venue and outside of the venue based on user data of ‘Japan Travel by NAVITIME,’ a navigation app for foreign visitors to Japan.
According to visitor data, the most popular place in the EXPO for visitors from Thailand was Thailand Pavilion, followed by ‘Yoshimoto waraii myraii Pavilion,’ ‘GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION’ and Japan Pavilion.
Likewise, the data showed that French visitors preferred to visiting France Pavilion, Yoshimoto waraii myraii Pavilion,’ ‘GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION’ and Japan Pavilion.
The data found that visitors from U.S. went around the venue all over and stayed in ‘Commons-A Pavilion’ and ‘UAE Pavilion.’
Where did they go before or after the EXPO?
NAVITIME JAPAN also revealed where foreign visitors to the EXPO stopped by before or after the EXPO. The data showed that travelers from Asia went around Izumisano City, a Kansai International Airport city, in Kansai area and between Osaka and Kyoto.
Travelers from U.S. toured to the Golden Route between Kyoto or Osaka and Tokyo, and those from Europe visited Hiroshima, Kanazawa and Takayama in addition to the Golden Route.
The most popular destination in combination with the EXPO was Nara Park, followed by Universal Studio Japan and Osaka Castle, and also some shopping malls were preferred.
