Japan Tourism Agency supports eight cities to attract international conventions

Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) has selected eight cities in the national program to support convention bureaus’ activities. For Kyoto, Nagoya, Sendai, Chiba, Hiroshima and Kitakyushu, which are designated as Global MICE City, JTA will help them obtain skills to negotiate and communicate with international MICE organizers through training or consulting by experts, and also draw up MICE strategy.

Toyama and Nara are selected as cities to improve their MICE marketing functions, for which JTA will provide them with training and consulting opportunities for branding and also help them obtain skills to analyze their own local resources.
