‘Pokémon GO Wild Area,’ a live event for the smartphone-based location-based game ‘Pokémon GO,’ will be held simultaneously in Sendai City and Mexico City over three days from November 6 to 8, 2026. Tickets for ‘Pokémon GO Wild Area: Sendai/Tohoku’ are scheduled to go on sale in mid-September.
‘Pokémon GO Wild Area’ is a large-scale real-world event linked with tourism. It features event venues scattered throughout the host city, allowing participants to enjoy encountering, raising, and battling Pokémon while exploring the cityscape. The event was first held in Fukuoka City in 2024 and took place in Nagasaki City last year.
In Sendai City, the main event location, plans include the setup of event booths and photo spots, as well as an in-game stamp rally that takes participants to various local tourist attractions.
The gameplay area is designed to extend across the entire Miyagi Prefecture, encouraging players to travel around the region starting from Sendai.
