ZIP AIR TOKYO, a JAL mid-range LCC, files for Bangkok and Incheon services as its launching flights

JAL officially announced that TBL, the preparation company for mid-range LCC services, has renamed to ‘ZIP AIR TOKYO’ as a brand name. The LCC filed for Narita-Bangkok and -Incheon services with the Boeing 787-8 as its launching flights to Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on March 8 2019 to commence the flights in the summer of 2020.

'ZIPAIR Tokyo' is a coined word derived from the English word ZIP, which describes speed, such as how fast time can pass when traveling on a unique airline. Also, the word Tokyo is added to the name, as the airline will be based in one of the most advanced cities in the world.

The font is set in Roman, which differentiates conventional airlines’ images. The [Z_] logo is a combination of the first letter in ZIP followed by a space the company calls Infinite Blank. This logo encapsulates the attitude to infinitely pursue services that meets the needs of the customers.

Corporate colors are Harmony Gray as a main color, featuring a feeling of balance and satisfaction with the cost of services provided, and Trust Green providing a sense of safety.

ZIP AIR TOKYO will begin recruiting full-time employees including cabin crews, airport operations and planning services in April 2019.
