ANA and JAL Group will raise the fuel surcharges on their international flights departing from May 1 2026 to cope with the sharp rise in fuel prices.

They have simultaneously revised their fuel surcharge rules to respond rapid change of market prices. ANA has changed the market price benchmark from three or four months before an effective month to tow or three months before an effective month. JAL has changed an effective month from two months later to the next month and added effective condition zones.

Although the effective condition reaches the highest level based on the latest market price benchmark, they adopt one lower level than the highest level, expecting that the emergency financial support to jet fuel by the government will work.

The followings are fuel surcharges by route (a passenger on one segment) from May 1 2026. Compared to April 30 2026, fuel surcharges on some routes will rise by up to two times.
