Half of Millennials and Generation Z use SNS as information sources for shopping or traveling

The survey on relevance between smart phone and travel consumption in 2019, conducted by JTB Tourism Research & Consulting, finds more smart phone users who do not post but just see SNS than before, though the last year’s survey showed more users who were tired of SNS.

The survey results also discovered more respondents who have been to places inspired by SNS postings and who bought things with information on SNS. The trends are noteworthy particularly among young generations, and the ratio is 50% ort more among 29 years old or younger Millennials and Generation Z.
