Japanese overseas travelers continuously reduced by 7.6% to 1.65 million in August 2015

Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced that Japanese overseas travelers were continuously down 7.6% year on year to 1,648,000 in August 2015, resulting in year-on-year reductions for 15 months in a row since May 2014.

The total for the first eight months of 2015 was down 5.6% to 10,582,500. The difference between Japanese overseas travelers and foreign visitors to Japan was wider in August, as 12,875,400 foreigners (+49.1%) visited Japan.
