Japanese overseas travelers were down 14.2% in February 2020 amid spread of the novel coronavirus worldwide

Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced that the number of Japanese overseas travelers was down 14.2% year on year to 1.316,800 in February 2020. Amid spread of the novel coronavirus, Ministry of Foreign Affairs has raised  Travel Advice & Warning Level for many countries and regions since late January.

Furthermore, practical opportunities to go abroad have been smaller, as air network has radically been shrunken. The outbound travel market will certainly see a severer result in March 2020.
