
Klook, Hong Kong-based experience booking platform, formed a partnership with Hoshino Resorts, a Japanese hotel chain, to encourage Klook users to visit local cities in Japan for decentralization of inbound tourists to Japan.
As the first effort, Klook has started selling ‘Stay+,’ a package combined Hoshino Resorts’ rypkan brand ‘Kai’ with transportation tickets.
It is not so easy for international travelers to access to Kai, which offers unique local experiences and onsen cultures, because most of the properties are located in countrysides of Japan. The package is expected to encourage users to visit there more easily and comfortably.
Klook plans to extend the package product to other Hoshino Resorts’ brands like ‘Resonare’ and also to create a day trip package or local experience products.
