Luxury hotel brand Six Senses will open in Myoko, Niigata with 57 hotel rooms and 21 residences

Luxury hotel brand Six Senses will be developed in Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort area in Niigata Prefecture as a joint project by IHG Hotels & Resorts and Singapore-based Patience Capital Group. The construction will begin in April 2026. 

Six Senses Myoko will have 57 guest rooms and suites and 21 residences on the upper floors, in most of which guests can enjoy private onsen. Also, two restaurants and bars, a spa, a boutique for skiwear fitting will open in the property. The building is designed under ‘Golden Wind’ concept by world-famous architect Kengo Kuma.

Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort has a 8.5 km-long ski course and a downhill course with an elevation difference of 1,124 meters. The hotel plans to offer a variety of activities from spring to fall, wellness experiences connected with local cultures and foods and an art program that creates a vital local community through a year.
