Traveloka, a largest OTA in Southeast Asia, signed a strategic partnership with NETSTARS, a Japanese cashless payment platform, to introduce ‘StarPay-Biz for Hotel,’ a payment platform service exclusively for hotels provided by NETSTARS.
The partnership enables hotels or ryokans in Japan to process transactions with Traveloka through virtual card number (VCN)-based corporate payments. Traveloka issues VCN based on booking and checkout information, and a hotel or a ryokan processes the payment by VCN on StarPay-Biz for Hotel without any manual processings, which expects to reduce human errors and improve business efficiency,
A VCN is a virtual sub-number issued to a corporate credit card (purchasing card) as a parent number. Multiple VCNs can be issued for use in a single transaction or for a set number of times or for a set period of time, within the credit limit of the parent number. Usage restrictions and conditions, such as "available amount" and "usage period," can be set for each VCN.
