Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) will launch ‘Next Generation Air Mobility Office’ with goals of Level 4 flight without visual contact for drone operation in FY2022 and of commercialization for flying car in FY2023.
The new office with 22 staff will be engaged in discussion of safe operation criteria, introduction of a registration system for unmanned aircraft and operation of the related systems.
